Victoria Rainville
PT, DPT, Clinic Co-Director
Vickie first joined our team back in 2010-2011 as a staff PT prior to moving to Massachusetts for 9 years. She returned to A Step Ahead in August of 2020 as the Clinic Manager and stepped into the role of Co-Director in 2024.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Health Fitness from Springfield College in Massachusetts and worked for 10 years as a high-school and clinic level athletic trainer prior to becoming a physical therapist. She obtained both her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in 2000, as well as her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010, and has over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist.
Vickie's practice has spanned many settings. In addition to practicing in outpatient, skilled nursing, and the home health setting, she also brings many years of field and clinic experience in high school and collegiate athletics. She likes to utilize her extensive background and years of experience to look at the whole person and get to the source of the problem, not just treat one area. Her clinical focus on manual therapy, functional exercise and both mobility and stability have been further strengthened with certifications in the Graston Level 1 technique, Dry Needling and Cupping as well as the Functional Movement Screen and SFMA 1. Since 2010 she has also focused on treating women who are pre and post-partum as well as those recovering from Breast Cancer. Her commitment to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation has strengthened since 2023 as she is now herself a Breast Cancer survivor.
Vickie has been active as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) for over 25 years. Originally from Connecticut, she has been active in leadership and the profession in CT, MA and now GA. From 2007-2009, she also worked as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at Sacred Heart University. Vickie and her husband have 3 daughters. Vickie enjoys healthy eating, exercise and spending time with her family, friends, and their 3 dogs.
